Our Purpose
Returning Smiles to the Faces of Children in Need
Founded in 2021, Operation Shiny Teeth is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that exists to bring smiles back to the faces of children in foster care. We partner with foster care agencies and Divisions of Family and Children Services in a growing number of states throughout the U.S. to fulfill the need for new toothbrushes and toothpaste as children arrive at their assigned homes.
There are currently more than 390k children in the foster care system throughout the U.S.

Our Process
Connect
If you represent a foster care agency or city, county, or state DFCS, contact us to become an OST partner.
Communicate
Once you’re an OST partner, regularly convey your need for toothbrushes and toothpaste for the children in your system.
Coordinate
Receive shipments of new toothbrushes and toothpaste from us, then coordinate their distribution among the children you serve.

To Put A Smile Back on Their Faces
In addition to working directly with foster care agencies, Operation Shiny Teeth is happy to fulfill requests from foster care families whenever we can. If you currently have children from the foster care system in your home or will soon be welcoming them, we invite you to reach out to us with a request for new toothbrushes and toothpaste. Not only will it go a long way in promoting good oral hygiene and making them feel “at home,” but it may help restore the smiles they thought they’d lost.
